  • Width of column 5p7.5 – 0.9375”
  • Depth of column 310 lines – 22.16”
  • Full width of type space 63p – 10.5”
  • Minimum depth: 1×15 lines then add 5 lines in depth for each additional column up to 6 columns 2×20, 3×25, 4×30, 5×35, 6×40, 7×40, 8×40, 10×40.
  • Maximum depth: Display ads over 275 lines will be charged at the full depth of 310 lines.
  • 9 column ads will not be accepted in retail sections.
  • Halftones B/W and Colour – 150 line screen (300 dpi) (24 microns Stochastic, minimum highlight dot 2%). Printed offset. (see Digital Transfer for file details)

TERMS OF PAYMENT

Advertisers charged from cut‑off rule to cut‑off rule.
Terms of sale are net due when rendered. Service charges of 2% per month (24% per annum) will be levied 30 days from billing date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The advertiser agrees that the publisher shall not be liable for damages arising out of errors in advertisements beyond the amount charged for the space actually occupied by that portion of the advertisement in which the error occurred, whether such error is due to negligence of its servants or otherwise and there shall be no liability for non‑insertion of any advertisement beyond the amount charged for such advertisement.
  • All copy and type arrangements subject to approval of publisher. The publisher reserves the right to edit, revise or reject any advertisements.
  • The publisher reserves the option to insert, above any copy, “Advertisement” or “Advertising Feature”.
  • The advertiser agrees to indemnify the publisher against all claims arising from publication of any advertisement sub­mitted by the advertiser.
  • All display advertisements must carry signature of party inserting same.
  • The advertiser agrees that the Calgary Herald will not be responsible for advertising material unless return delivery instructions are received within 30 days after use.
  • The advertiser also agrees that the copyright of all adver­tisements prepared by the Calgary Herald shall be vested in the Calgary Herald.
